echo kids: safety & security

Echo Kids exists to glorify God through providing a safe and secure environment for children where the Bible is taught, the gospel is preached, the children are valued as image bearers of God, and the path is prepared for them to one day walk with God as adults.

SAFETY & SECURITY

For our full Echo Kids Protection Policy, please click here.

All staff and volunteers in Echo Kids are background checked annually. All children’s ministry staff and volunteers must attend a children’s orientation training, as well as abuse prevention training, before they are permitted to work with the children. Additional training sessions will be scheduled for existing volunteers to update them on policies and procedures.

Full-time staff who do not have direct contact with children receive training on child protection policies. Parents with questions about childcare training are welcome to attend these sessions.

Check-in Procedures

We have an established child check-in procedure in order for anyone to gain access to the kids area. During service time, the entrance is manned by a hall monitor.

The children’s building is straight ahead when approaching the entrance (the sanctuary is to the left). We request parents to check in their child(ren) prior to start of service. Parents will be given a unique barcode that will need to be presented to check their child(ren) back out.

After the initial check-in, parents and children join the rest of the congregation in worship in the main sanctuary. After worship in song and prayer has ended, a host will provide directions for parents to escort their children to the appropriate area.
